Alene Fredrick, Galena, MO, daughter of Milton and Ivan (Cloud) Cutbirth, was born on April 7, 1938, in Abesville, MO, and departed this life on March 3, 2023, at the age of 84.

Alene worked in garment factories, refinished antique furniture and owned her own business making blue jeans just outside of Crane, MO. She was a longtime member of the Hurley Baptist Church, Hurley, MO and loved flowers and plants.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Ivan Cutbirth; 1st husband, Jim Fredrick; 2nd husband, Gary Holland; three sisters, Earnestine Smith, Nadine Irwin and Norene Davis.

Survivors include: her sister, Charlene Edmondson of Mt Vernon, MO; brother, Jerry Cutbirth of Lebanon, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in Hurley Baptist Church, Hurley, MO. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Larry Winfree officiating. Burial will be in Highlandville Cemetery, Highlandville, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
