Amy Michelle
Brenner
Dec 4, 1973 — Mar 17, 2025
Crane
Amy Michelle Brenner was born December 04, 1973, to Mike and Erma Brenner of Marionville at Cox Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Mother to four daughters and a bonus son, Kristin Johnson of Marionville (Derek), Danielle Watts of Olathe, KS (Joshua), Hailey Holligan of Jackson, MO (Zachary), Hannah Owens of Crane (Ethan Vaught), and Tracey Secrest of Springfield (Ashley), Amy was extremely proud of her family. She greatly enjoyed her work in the service industry, especially her time in healthcare and caregiving. Amy was a person who was always willing to help anyone in need and was constantly ready to greet anyone with a friendly smile and a hug. Amy loved BIG! She had hopes and dreams of continuing to serve youth in crisis, loved education, and had a heart for serving those most in need. Most of all, Amy loved to spend time with and talk about her 17 grandchildren: Caidyn, Levi, Nakota, Blayze and Gracelyn Johnson (Kristin and Derek); Izzy, Jaxon, Elliot, Asher, Carson, and Emersyn (Hailey and Zachary); Kaylie, Elijah, Jeanette, JJ, Mary, and Danielle (Danielle and Joshua).
Amy was a believer in Christ and professed her faith at the age of 5 with a river baptism at Goose Creek, Lawrence County. In 2024, she rededicated her life to the Lord with a renewed sense of purpose and had been attending services at Christian Ministries with family.
Amy was preceded in death by her father Mike Brenner of Mount Vernon, and her stepfather Ollie Wright of Marionville. She is survived by her mother Erma of Marionville, her long-time partner and best friend Aaron Busby of Crane, her five children, big sisters Angie Brenner of Marionville, and Tammy Ash (Jack) of Ash Grove, a host of nieces and nephews, and many, many extended family members and friends.
Anyone who knew Amy knew she was a fighter and an overcomer of her battle with addiction. In the end, she lived a life with the belief that though we may fail, there is always hope. We all have a purpose in Christ and Amy was living proof of His mercy and grace. If you or anyone you know struggles with addiction, please know you are not alone and there is help available. If you are in crisis, please reach out to the National Drug Helpline: 1-844-289-0879. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at Alice Irene's in Marionville for funeral expenses and support of local Addiction and Recovery services.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, in IOOF Cemetery, Marionville, MO. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
