Audell
Adkins
Oct 19, 1947 — Jun 28, 2026
Galena, MO
Audell (Hall) Adkins, 78, went home to be with our Lord on June 28, 2026, passing peacefully at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, Kansas.
Audell was born on October 19, 1947, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, to Stanley and Carrie (Hoffland) Hall. The youngest of six children, she grew up in Wisconsin alongside her siblings and graduated from high school before accepting a position as a stenographer in the Mathematics Department at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
On January 6, 1968, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Adkins. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. Over the years they made their home in Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, and finally southwest Missouri, where they built a life and cherished the next 40 years.
After dedicating herself to raising her family as a stay-at-home mother, Audell later worked alongside Kenneth helping build homes. Whether caring for her family, supporting her husband, or serving others, she approached every task with quiet strength, humility, and an unwavering work ethic.
Audell found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved baking for family and friends, tending her flower gardens, volunteering, teaching Sunday school, and being actively involved in her church community. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcome. Her sweet spirit, kind heart, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Her greatest joy was her family, especially her seven grandchildren. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, encouraging each one with the same unconditional love and gentle spirit that defined her life.
Audell was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Carrie (Hoffland) Hall, and by three siblings, Blondel (Hall) Adkins, Stan Hall, and Rochelle (Hall) Bartel.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Adkins; her children, Chad Adkins of Springfield, Missouri, Julie (Joshua) Grimm of Gardner, Kansas, and Cal Adkins of Amarillo, Texas; her grandchildren, Whitney, Christian, Colin, Mikayla, Caden, Xander, and Greyson; her siblings, Jan and Van; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Above all else, Audell loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her faith in Christ was the foundation of her life, evident in everything she said and did. She served others with humility, welcomed everyone with kindness, and reflected Christ’s love through countless acts of generosity, compassion, and grace. While her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the promise that she is now at home with her Savior, whom she faithfully loved and served throughout her life. Her legacy is one of unwavering faith, selfless love, and a life that drew others to Christ.
A Celebration of Life honoring Audell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at New Testament Christian Church, 21016 Main Street, Reeds Spring, Missouri. Refreshments and desserts will be served as we gather to celebrate Audell’s life and share memories together.
If you would like to remember Audell in a special way, we invite you to listen to her favorite song, “Praise His Name” by Jeff & Sheri Easter. May its message be an encouragement and a reminder of the steadfast faith that defined her life.
