We can find a golden thread throughout the Bible where GOD uses the image of an Eagle to portray his Might and Power.  This includes his ability to protect his children like an eagle would protect it's young: Under the Wings of an Eagle.

Isaiah 40:31

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.

They will soar high on wings like eagles.

They will rest and not grow weary.

They will walk and not faint.

Psalm 91:4

He will cover you with his feathers.

He will shelter you with his wings.

His faithful promises are your armor and your protection.
