Billy Lee Taylor, Reeds Spring, MO, son of William (Bill) Edgar and Edna (McQueary) Taylor, was born August 30, 1948, in Stone County, MO, and departed this life in his home in Reeds Spring on May 24, 2023, at the age of 74.

Billy was united in marriage to Alice Faye (Freeman) on October 14, 1967.  He was a lifelong area resident having owned/operated several local businesses including a gas station and rock quarry.  He held memberships in the Hilltop Pentecostal Church and the 160 Church. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband and grandfather. He was a cherished friend to all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, James Leon (Jimmy) and Jackie Louis Gideon, one sister, Berley Jean Riech (Taylor) and one daughter, Cindy Barnes.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Taylor of the home, his brother, Bobby Joe Taylor, his sisters, Avonell (Taylor) Schwyhart, Betty (Taylor) Wyant , Violet (Taylor) Macalusoa, Sharon (Gideon) Wilson and Willa (Taylor) Hayworth his granddaughter, Kina (Barnes) Harris, a great granddaughter, Ember Harris and several nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service is set for 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Yocum Pond Cemetery.  Family and friends are requested to meet there.  Arrangements under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
