Carol Mae (Pauley) Buzenius, 93, formerly of Cicero, Broadview and Riverside, IL and for the past 30 years of retirement, Reeds Spring, MO, peacefully passed away in her sleep Thursday, September 10, 2020.  She was born April 22, 1927 in Oak Park, IL.  Immediately following high school graduation, Carol entered nurses training through the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps, a program created to assist the shortage of nurses during WWII.  During the majority of her professional career she worked as a nurse in labor and delivery helping to bring countless babies into the world.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Raymond Buzenius, her parents, Mathew and Marcella (Mairich) Pauley, siblings Robert Pauley and Bernice Pauley.  She is survived by siblings Virginia Williams and William Pauley, both of Reeds Spring, MO.  She is also survived by her children (and their spouses), Paula Buzenius of Reeds Spring, MO, Michael Buzenius (Elizabeth) of Naperville, IL and David Buzenius of Fort Myers, FL; surviving grandchildren, Jessica Gluck, Megan Buzenius, Kathryn Buzenius (Paul Lorsbauch), Rachel Buzenius, Heather Stites (Ian), Sarah Buzenius, Kenneth Buzenius and three great-granddaughters, Evie Stites, Noelle Stites and Mabel Lorsbauch.

No service is planned at this time.  Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
