On July 7, 2023, Sue Galloway, the adoring wife of the late Loy Jack Galloway, died in Galena, MO, at the home they shared since their wedding day, October 7, 1961. Sue was 79 years old.

The most patient and sweetest mom to five children, Loy Dale Galloway and wife, Mary of Crane, Julie Chambers and husband, Jamie of Galena, Amy Larson and husband, Ed of Galena, Jackie Daugherty and husband, Matthew of Galena, and Del Ray Galloway of Galena; as well as a friend she considered her daughter, Melissa May of Crane; and the best Granny Sue to nine grandchildren and soon to be twenty-one great grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Stone County Missouri, Carolyn Sue Clinkenbeard was born on June 11, 1944, the daughter of Noel and Ruby Clinkenbeard of Reeds Spring, MO. She attended Reeds Spring Schools.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loy Jack Galloway; a great grandchild, Lauren Faith Curbow and one sister Betty Dickens.

Survivors include her children mentioned above, one brother, Bob Clinkenbeard of Reeds Spring and one sister, Rose Baker of Marionville.

Sue dedicated her life to her husband and family. Always taking care of the people she loved with a gentle kindness, especially her children.

No public services are planned at this time. Sue will be laid to rest beside her husband on the land they shared. Services were under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
