Darlene Frances Lutes, formerly of Branson, MO, daughter of Creighton and Alta (Wallace) Davenport, was born May 1, 1937, at Fielding, New Brunswick. She received her nursing license from Allan Memorial Institute of Psychiatry. She departed this life on May 26, 2024, at the age of 87.

Darlene was united in marriage to Daniel J. Lutes. Together they moved to the Branson MO, area in 1984. She and her husband owned and operated D & D Leather Inc. before their retirement.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lutes, daughters, Deborah Jones and Dinah Young and parents, Creighton and Alta Davenport.

She is survived by a daughter Dawn(Michael) Witt of Jerseyville, IL, grandchildren; Tara(Jeff) Burnum of Sparta, MO, Craig(Alyssa)Witt of Jerseyville, IL, Jennifer Poss of Loganville, GA, Steven(Jessica) Holt of Mascoutah, IL and great grandchildren; Payton, Lucas, Aiden, Andrew, Tyler, Logan, Anna and Alex.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, MO. A service will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m., at the Stumpff Funeral Chapel, with Jerry Jenkins officiating. Burial will take place in Philibert Cemetery, Kimberling City, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to help with the cost of the headstone (checks can be made payable to Dawn Witt). Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
