David Lee Hilt, Kimberling City, MO, son of Authur and Grace (Welborn) Hilt, was born July 28, 1931 in Kansas City, KS and departed this life on June 28, 2020 at the age of 88.

David had been a resident of the area for twenty years, moving here from Fairway, KS.  He worked as a supervisor for Kansas City Power and Light Company for 40 years.  He served his country in the United States Coast Guard.

David was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alfred William Hilt and Eugene Hilt; and one sister, Juanita Kiminki.

Survivors include: his wife of almost 60 years, Alice Hilt of Kimberling City, MO; three sons, Damien Hilt of Kansas City, MO, Dathian "Jake" Hilt of Kimberling City, MO and Donnie Bryer Sledd of Kimberling City, MO; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Sledd of Harrisonville, MO and Autumn Dragon and Ty of Greeley, CO; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, 2020 5:00-7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 5:30 p.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.  Service will be Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Joji Vincent officiating at Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church Kimberling City, MO.  Burial will follow in Philibert Cemetery Kimberling City, MO.
