He said he’d live forever, and we certainly wish he had;

A wonderful husband, a fabulous father, and the greatest G-Dad.

David Lee Templeton loved adventures, especially with his grands;

He has now embarked upon his next adventure resting in God’s hands.

David Lee Templeton, born April 26, 1958, departed this life on October 7, 2026, at the age of 68 in his home surrounded by family.

Dave spent a number of years working at Silver Dollar City where his greatest claim to fame was being a train robber. He then served a total of 39 years at Skaggs Hospital and Cox Health systems.

Dave married on June 9, 2001, to his loving wife Chris and inherited 3 children, whom he loved dearly and later gave him his greatest adventure: being G-Dad. Dave leaves behind his wife Chris, daughter Erin Cruz and her children: Maddy, Daegan, Lilly, and Hayden; son and daughter-in-love Rob and Deena Zimmerman and their children: Colin and Colbie; daughter and son-in-love Lauren and AJ Rupert and their children: Logan and Lexie; bonus son Nick Cruz; and a host of extended family.

Dave enjoyed the lake, a good game of golf, and spending time with family and friends. He possessed an amazing sense of humor and loved to playfully banter. He was known for his kindness and service to others.

Dave led with the words, “love one another”;

The man, the myth, the legend, there can be no other.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 14, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Ledgestone County Club in Stonebridge, Branson West, MO Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
