Dean Voelkel, Cape Fair, MO, son of Otto and Gertrude (Lambert) Voelkel, was born on April 17, 1931 and departed this life on July 14, 2022, at the age of 91.

Dean worked for the civil service after serving his country in the U S Navy and had lived in the area for the past thirty years. He had been a Deacon at the Cape Fair Christian Church and was a member of the Cape Fair Eagles #4278.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Arline Voelkel.

Survivors include: his daughter, Deanna Baum and her husband, Phil of Fairview Heights, IL; two sons, Greg Voelkel and his wife, Ruth of Cape Fair, MO and Dave Voelkel and his wife, Tina of Percy, IL; one brother, Ronald Voelkel and his wife, Norma; three grandchildren, Steve Martin and his wife, Barb, Mike Martin and Ian Hollie; one great grandchild, Austin Martin and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Burial will be in Cape Fair Cemetery, Cape Fair, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
