"Though she be but little, she is fierce"

It is with shattered hearts we announce the passing of our amazing mother, Denise Hughes. Born March 21,1959 to Robert "Bob" Stockstill and Pearl Jones Stockstill, who precede her in death. Also preceding her were her two older brothers David Litchfield and Bobby Stockstill, and her youngest son Mikey Hughes. It comforts us to know she went home for the holidays and is back with her baby boy. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children and grandchildren. Sons: Rickey (Christy) Stockstill and Patrick Hughes. Daughters: Aimee Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes. Grandbabies: Tre' (Kylee) Tucker, Jenna Stockstill, Dylan Briggs, Wade McCullough and a great grandson Tucker who all lit up her life. Also in mourning is her life long companion and favorite debate partner David Hughes, Nephews: Gary, Les, William, Scott and Ronnie. Nieces: Kim, Bobbie, and Molly, several great nieces and nephews and the many bonus babies she gathered throughout her life, as she was a mama to all and will be incredibly missed forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held in March in Fort Scott, Kansas.
