Dewey Bowling, Crane, MO, son of Ernest and Gladys (White) Bowling, was born on June 17, 1954 in Stone County, MO and departed this life on September 14, 2020, at the age of 66.

Dewey was a blacksmith, a lifelong resident of the area and a member of New Dawn Pentecostal Church, Aurora, MO He loved the James River, fishing, hunting, trapping and other outdoor activities.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gladys Bowling; five siblings, Bob Bowling, Ernestine Hammons, Illene Edwards, Maxine Bowling and Sondra Bowling.

Survivors include: his son, Nathanael Bowling of Mount Vernon, MO; one brother, Richard Bowling and his wife, Robyn of Elsey, MO; five sisters, Doris Thompson of Reeds Spring, MO, Patsy Asher and her husband, Donald of Niangua, MO, Linda Medley and her husband, Ray of Lebanon, MO, Joan Crane of Lebanon, MO and Sheryl Sawyer and her husband, Leonard of Elsey, MO; a girlfriend, Sue Thompson Kern; Nathanael's mother, Vickie Bowling ; a slew of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Anthony Crane officiating. Graveside services will follow the service with Brother Mickey Lewis officiating in Crane Community Cemetery, Crane, MO. Services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
