Don Humphreys Simpson, Kimberling City, MO, son of Benjamin and Wilma (Land) Humphreys, was born December 10, 1932, in Hot Springs, AR, and departed this life on May 25, 2023, at the age of 90.

He served in the United States Army.

Don lived in the area since 1973, having moved here from California.  He worked as a real estate broker before his retirement in 2015. He and his wife Elaine established Kimberling Hills Real Estate early in their real estate careers.

Don enjoyed boating on the lake with family and friends. Many people knew him from his 40 plus years of jogging on the main roads of Kimberling City. He loved to run he said it was what kept him healthy and vibrant.

When asked what he wanted to be remembered for he stated "Truthfulness, Integrity, and Honesty in his relationships".

Membership was held in the Kimberling City United Methodist Church, Kimberling City, MO.

Preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Wilma Humphreys, stepdad Bob Simpson, wife, Elaine (Saule) Simpson, and one sister, Bennie Smith, mother in law, Welma Masters, brother in law, James Saule, sister in law, Beverly Peake.

Survivors include one son Rick Simpson and his wife, Pam of Springfield, MO, three grandchildren; Hollie Marling and her husband, Mike of Springfield, MO, Jason Dake and his wife, Crystal of Springfield, MO, and Emily Worcester and her husband, John of Springfield, MO, eight great grandchildren; Elias, Alisa, Asher, Wyatt, Grayson, Tinley, Zadie and Izzy.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Kimberling City United Methodist Church, Kimberling City, MO.
