Donny "Don" E. Wilks, Branson, MO formerly of Cape Fair, son of Roy and Stella (Harvey) Wilks was born June 8, 1943 in Lawrence County, MO and departed this life on October 3, 2020 at the age of 77.

Don was a high school counselor for the Rich Hill, Mo, Galena, MO and Verona, MO public school systems.  He was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Cape Fair, MO. Don enjoyed spending time with his family.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Wilks and his parents.

Survivors include: son, Chris Wilks and wife, Layne of Branson, MO; two daughters, Suzanne Hite and husband, Jim of Seattle, WA and Stephanie Hargrove and Mark Glissen of St Charles, MO; two brothers, Jim Wilks of Raytown, MO and Tom Wilks of Mt Vernon, MO; sister, Lou Davis of Independence, MO; five grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation for Don will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Stumpff Funeral Chapel Crane, MO.  Funeral service will be Friday, October 9, 2020 at Cape Fair First Baptist Church in Cape Fair, MO at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Steven Gann officiating with burial following at Cape Fair Cemetery Cape Fair, MO.  Family has requested in lieu of flowers donations go to Cape Fair First Baptist Church.
