Earnestine Smith, Crane, MO, daughter of Melton Oren and Alta Ivawn (Cloud) Cutbirth, was born on July 4, 1944 in Ponce De Leon, MO and departed this life on May 10, 2022, at the age of 77.

Earnestine was a lifelong resident of the area, married Harry Smith on April 28, 1965, was a resort head housekeeper, a seamstress and loved her family immensely.

Earnestine was preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Ivawn Cutbirth and her husband, Harry Smith.

Survivors include: two daughters, Michel Gideon and her husband, Bob of Hurley, MO and Elaine Albright and her husband, William of Halltown, MO; one brother, Jerry Cutbirth of Cape Fair, MO; four sisters, Norene Davis of Highlandville, MO, Alene Fredrick of Elsey, MO, Charlene Edmondson of Mount Vernon, MO and Nadine Irwin and her husband, Gordon of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; special friend, Kenny Gardner of Billings, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
