Elfreda M. Cole, Galena, MO, the daughter of Fritz and Lena (Puvogel) Stubbendick, was born September 16, 1935, in Syracuse, NE, and departed this life on July 27, 2023, at the age of 87.

Elfreda was united in marriage to William J. Cole on April 18, 1962.  Together they moved to the area 26 years ago from Lincoln, NE.

Membership was held in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Springfield, MO and the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Lena Stubbendick, her husband, William J. Cole, and siblings; Fred Stubbendick, Lawrence Stubbendick and Eldean Vogt.

Elfreda is survived by one son, Scott (Jane) Cole, grand dog, Natasha and many close friends.

Cremation is under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
