Erwin Edmund Klopp was born on April 25, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from DePaul High School and
DeVry Technical School. Erwin retired from Baxter after a successful 32 years as a service and sales representative.
Erwin passed away on February 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Erwin's heart belonged to the water and the wind; a passion sparked during his first vacations to Table Rock Lake in the mid-1970s. After decades of making memories there, he turned his dream into a reality in 1999, building a home and retiring to the lake he loved so dearly. A true lake enthusiast, Erwin was at his happiest boating, floating, and sharing a cold beer with family and friends. His home was a constant hub for visitors, especially during the summer months when the sun was high and the water was perfect. When he wasn't on the lake, Erwin was likely cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears and Cubs, a lifelong loyalty he carried with pride. His adventurous spirit took him far beyond the shoreline; he cherished fishing trips to Canada, rounds of golf, and numerous cruises across the globe with his wife and family, including memorable travels throughout Europe.

He leaves behind a legacy of summertime fun, wide-open horizons, and a deep love for his family. Erwin was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin H. and Helen M. (Huber) Klopp. He is survived by Joyce L. Klopp, his devoted wife of almost 60 years, whom he married in 1966 in Chicago; sister Lynne M. Klopp (Alan Linden); children Darlene Watson, Brian Klopp (Jill), and Glenn Klopp (Tammy Greco); grandchildren Cody, Sajen,
Courtney (Jordan), Michael, Mason, and Addyson; and great-grandchildren Saila and Brock.
