Obituary

Fannie Catherine Ginter Nall, my wife, guide, champion, and love of my, life passed away on October 25, 2022, peacefully at the age of 81 years. We had 41+ years of wonderful, happy marriage. Feel free to message me with any questions or to share a story of Fannie.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Ginter and his wife, Lou Ginter, and her daughter by marriage, Jennifer Nall Page, granddaughter, Sophia Grace Page, and many nieces and nephews.

Fannie was born on February 15, 1941 in the Appleton City Hospital in Missouri. She grew up on her father's farm in Missouri near Osceola. She later moved to Butler, MO where she graduated from high school. She moved to Kansas City at 18 or so and began work for Hallmark Cards. She married and moved to Cedar Rapids and began work at Merchants National Bank. IBM had moved me to Cedar Rapids in 1978. Fannie was divorced in in 1975. I met her in Cedar Rapids after my divorce in 1978. We loved each other immediately and forever. We moved to Los Angeles about 1980 and married on the Queen Mary in Los Angeles harbor on February 26, 1981. About 1989 IBM moved us to Milford, CT, and again in 1990 to Southlake/Westlake, TX in 1990.

I took early retirement in 1992 from IBM. I was hired by Compaq Computers, later HP, in 1995. We moved to Austin, TX where I worked for Dell Computers, and I finally retired in 2005 from Dell. We then made our final move to Kimberling City, MO in 2005 and built our 'house on the lake' that we'd dreamed of for many years. Fannie and I had many good years in that house for 15 years. She was diagnosed with emphysema in 2020 and passed away from that disease in our home. Fannie had a passion for crocheting, dogs, and movies.

Because I worked for IBM (I Been Moved), Fannie had several careers along the way. She was a banker, personal banker for Merchants Bank in Cedar Rapids, IA, branch manager at Harbor Bank in Huntington Harbor, CA, legal secretary in Milford, CT, bookkeeper for a kosher bakery in Dallas, dog groomer in Southlake, TX, Nail technician in Bedford, TX, and finally she quit all of them to take care of me. We traveled for 10 years to/from Phoenix to visit with Jennifer and Sophie with an RV and later a Honda. We enjoyed watching Sophie growing from diapers to a wonderful young woman.
We had 9 dogs, mostly adopted and mixed breed. They were: Butch, Heidi, Annie, Katie, Phiget, Sissy, Bear and Bubba. She loved them all. She is survived by the final dog, Bubba. Bubba died 1 month after Fannie. If you choose to contribute in Fannie's name please do so to the ASPCA, or other animal rescue organization.

We joined the Methodist Church of Kimberling City in 2006 where Fannie volunteered for many tasks. I will always miss her. God's grace gives me the power to endure the grief and to get through it.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
