Gary E. Jenkins, Cape Fair, MO was born February 26, 1945 in Clovis NM to Edwin and Martha (Hardin) Jenkins and departed this life on October 31, 2020 at the age of 75.

Gary served his country proudly in the United States Air Force serving in the Vietnam War.  He believed in defending his country and protecting freedom and preserving the American way of life.  After faithfully serving his country, he worked as a Process Control Engineer in multiple manufacturing industries.  His career required extensive travel all over the world including Australia, South Africa, many countries in Europe, Brazil, China and Mexico.  He has visited all the continents except for the North and South poles.

Gary enjoyed bluegrass, country music, Sam Adams and pie!  He had a dry, witty and sarcastic sense of humor.  Although sometimes short-fused and direct, he was a kind-hearted neighborhood handyman who loved helping, contributing and having laughs with friends and family.  In his spare time, he also enjoyed his "go fast" boats, GTOs and Corvettes.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Jenkins of Cape Fair, MO; two sons, Michael Jenkins and wife, Melissa of St. Augustine, FL and Gregory Jenkins and wife, Amber of North Kingstown, RI; one brother, Robert Jenkins and special friend, Sandy Gilmore of Des Moines, IA; one sister, Louise Earlene Ellington of Grand Island, NE; two grandsons, Elliot Jenkins and Crosby Jenkins; special sister-in-law, Joan Kincaid; many nieces and nephews across the country and their families; his beloved Golden Retriever, Sophie and his many friends.
