Gilbert Roy Long, Reeds Spring, MO, son of Robert and Dariene (Montgomery) Long, was born on April 2, 1952, in Santa Ana, CA, and departed this life on June 18, 2023, at the age of 71.

Gilbert served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War before being Honorably Discharged.

Gilbert was united in marriage to Katrina Marie Swaney on May 16, 1987.  He worked as an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician before his retirement.

Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Glen, Wayne and Curtis Long, as well as his oldest son, Joshua Long.

Survivors include his wife, Katrina of Reeds Spring, children, Jason and wife, Casidhe Long, Matthew and wife, Jasmin Long, Patrick Long and Kylie Schauf, and Kaitlyn and husband, Taylor Hermann, brother, Keith and wife, Susan Long, as well as daughter, Rachel, and husband, Erick Markell, grandsons, Porter Hermann, Jameson Long, Landon Long and granddaughters, Kira Long and Peyton and Rylee Markell, and great grandson Ash.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
