Harold "Dave" King, Kimberling City, MO, son of Alonzo Harold and Arvina
(Eads) King, was born on August 10, 1947, in St Louis, MO and went to be with
the Lord on April 16, 2026, at the age of 78.
Dave was married to his childhood sweetheart, Fran. His devotion wasn't loud; it
was lived–a kiss at the door, a steady hand, and always surrendering the cherry on
top of his ice cream to her. He spent nearly six decades making her life a little bit
sweeter. Dave found his greatest joy in being a husband, father, and grandfather,
offering a quiet strength and laughter that his family treasured.
Dave moved to the area in 1972, building a life centered on the people he loved
and the faith that guided him. He had a deep commitment to and was a founding
member of First Baptist Church of Kimberling City.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Harold and Arvina King and a
sister, Shirley Jean.
Those that will cherish his memory include his wife, Fran King of Kimberling
City, MO; son Chris King and his wife, Amber of Ozark, MO; daughter, Angela
Torix of Ozark, MO; three sisters, Darlene Halbeck of TN, Sandy Terrell of IN and
Connie Swift of CO; three grandchildren, Alexis Torix, Alyssa Torix and Katelyn
King and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. followed by the
Celebration of Life service at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Kimberling
City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Legacy Fund at First
Baptist Church of Kimberling City.
