Irene Chase, at the age of 71, departed this life on October 18, 2022. She was born in Hurley, MO to her parents, Ervie and Louise Keener, in August of 1951. She has been a long-time member of the Elsey Baptist Church, Elsey, MO and a lifelong resident of the Crane, MO area.

Irene was preceded in death by her father, Ervie and brother, Jerry Keener.

She is survived by her mother, Louise and twin sister, Ilene (Jesse) Chase; three children, Brenda (Brian) Smith, Rob Chase and Greg (Tammy) Chase; four grandchildren, Charlie (Justin) Burk, Casey (Nicole) Smith, Colby Smith and Hunter Chase, who loved her very much. She was also a proud great grandma to Clara, Dawsyn and Harlee. Whether she was called mom, mamaw, or grandma chickie, her family loved her very much.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 in Jones Chastain Cemetery, Nixa MO with Chaplain Jack Betts officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
