James William Anglin, 85, of Blue Eye, MO, was born on March 26, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia, and passed away on June 12, 2024, in Springfield, MO, surrounded by his family.

Jim had a diverse career, he served our country in the Air force, then he was a Service manager for Ford for many years, a mechanic, and later, a mailman after his first retirement. However, his most cherished roles were those of a father and grandfather. Jim had a passion for the outdoors, was known for his hilarious jokes, made amazing biscuits and gravy and enjoyed collecting coins (which he promptly gave to grandchildren). He loved spending time with his family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Anglin and Lois G. Hightower, four sisters, one brother, his son Jon Anglin, and his two beloved wives, Jerri Grace Anglin and Janet Anglin.

He is survived by his children: Sheryl Fetters, Valeri Schwartz, David Cox, Matthew Anglin, Miranda Hammons, and Jimmy Bommarito. His children-in-law, who were as much a part of his family as his own, include Rick Fetters, Elena Anglin Davis, Amanda Medora, and Wendy Bommarito. Jim was affectionately known as "Papa" to his 13 grandchildren: Desiray Cureton, Jessica Closser, Jake Schwartz, Clinton Fetters, DeAnna Anglin, Cassie Anglin, Chloe Anglin, Wyatt Anglin, Jack Anglin, Leah Hammons, Cyn Fowler, Michael Bommarito, and Haley Shepard. He also leaves behind multiple great-grandchildren.
