James Godfrey, Crane, MO, son of Robert and Delores (Wyman) Godfrey, was born on March 31, 1957, in Kansas City, KS and departed this life on October 7, 2026, at the age of 69.

James worked in autobody repair and had lived in the area since 1975 coming from Kansas City, KS.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Delores Godfrey, brother Robert Godfrey and three sisters, Patty Garner, Delores Cox and Tammy Back.

Survivors include: his girlfriend, Amanda Ames of Crane, MO; five daughters, Natasha Hankins and her spouse, Scott of Kentucky, April Hahn and her spouse, Aaron, Amy Carr and her spouse, Erica of Seymore, MO, Selena Godfrey of Crane, MO and Whitney Kyle and her spouse, Lane of Joplin, MO; two brothers, John Godfrey and his wife, Brenda of Jasper, MO and Paul Godfrey of Kansas City, KS; three sisters, Louann Kinley of McCord Bend, MO, Jeanie Taylor of Reeds Spring, MO and Jody Webb of Idaho; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff funeral Home, Crane, MO.
