Jan Christian (J.C.) Amos, Branson West, MO, son of Henry Gordon and Muriel Gladys (Mandler) Amos, was born October 10, 1945 in Cosby, MO and departed this life on September 10, 2020 at the age of 74.

J.C. had been a resident of the area for seventeen years, moving here from Omaha, AR. He was married to Cathy Freeman Amos.  He loved his children and grandchildren.  He was a Christian, loved his Lakewood Church, and spoke of Christ to all.  He served in the Vietnam War 1966-1968.  He worked as a draftsman for thirty-eight years.

J.C. was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter-in-law, Krisse McGlothlin and two brothers, Larry Amos and Dawn Amos.

Survivors include: his wife, Cathy Amos, Branson West, MO; Children, Missy Kay Hern, Branson West, MO, Larry Dewaine McGlothlin, Crane, MO, Shelley Ladner and husband, Darryl of Kiln, MS and Ron Amos and wife, Rhonda of Peculiar, MO; thirteen grandchildren, Kaylin, Kelsey, Lexie, Bodee, Allexous, Emilee, Allen, Christina, Henry, Gillian, Cayla, Essence and Trinity; one sister, Jeanine Edna of St. Joseph, MO and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Service for J.C. will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Church in Branson West, MO with Pastor Cecil Wayne Todd officiating.

Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
