Jeanna Lynn Hammontree was born on June 20, 1963 in East St. Louis, IL to Eugene and Peggy (Eck) Cornwell and departed this life on March 1, 2022 at home, with her husband of 20 years, Steve and their dogs.

Jeanna was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy and is survived by numerous brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

Jeanna lived in Cuba, MO for thirty some years before moving to Cape Fair, MO. She was a member of the Cape Fair, MO Eagles Benefit Club for twenty five years and worked there for ten years. Jeanna volunteered as a fireman, storm watcher and also ran a kennel on her property for a time. She was a certified dog trainer and vet assistant and was most proud of her dog training abilities (truly a dog whisperer). Jeanna also loved being a Santa's Helper at the Cape Fair Community Center. She touched so many lives with her short time here on earth.

A celebration of life will be held on April 23, 2022 at the Eagles Lodge, Cape Fair, MO from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
