John O. Boring, Galena, MO, son of Regis and Pearl (Bush) Boring, was born January 7, 1930 in Lisbon, Ohio and departed this life on July 20, 2021 at the age of 91.

John and his wife, Christine, had been residents of the area for forty years, moving here from Dover, Delaware.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kimberling City, MO, Kimberling City Elks, Masons and the Shriners. John served his country proudly and retiring from the United States Air Force.

John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Boring and sister, Jackie Heck.

Survivors include: his wife of seventy years, Christine Boring; daughter, Shiralee Gosselin and husband, William of Big Sandy, TN; four grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Stumpff Funeral Chapel Kimberling City, MO 5:00-6:00 p.m. with Elks Ceremony at 6:00 p.m.  Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield, MO Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Clif Crockett officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Kimberling City Elks.  Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
