John Godfrey Locke of Cape Fair, MO, passed away suddenly on September 8, 2021, at the age of 78.

John was born on June 22, 1943 to George and Phyllis Locke of Lombard, Illinois.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Georgene Locke.

John worked as a claims adjuster until his retirement.  He had a second career in education and during his time in education he made a positive impact on the students with whom he worked.  He was a diligent and talented craftsman who was generous with his gift.  He was honest and caring, and made a difference in the lives of those around him.

John had a lifelong love affair with his wife of 56 years, Christie Locke.  He is survived by his wife; their daughter Wendi Biesemeyer and her husband Todd, son Matthew Locke and wife Melissa, grandchildren Logan Biesemeyer, Johnathon Locke and wife Kelsey, Laura Biesemeyer, Bailey Locke, and Justin Locke, and his brother Henry Locke and wife Karen and their family, and a host of other family and friends. He will be missed.

No service is planned at this time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beverly Farm, beverlyfarm.org.  Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
