John Robert Thomas, Cape Fair, MO, son of Robert and Margaret (Brown) Marks, was born December 12, 1955, in Minneapolis, MN, and departed this life on May 18, 2022, doing one of his favorite things to do, fishing on Table Rock Lake.

John had been a resident of the area for five years, moving here from Springfield, MO.  He had worked in broadcasting as a radio announcer.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert William Marks.

Survivors include: his wife, Rhonda Thomas of Cape Fair, MO; two sons, Cody Davis of Burleson, TX and Tyler Davis of Fort Worth, TX; step-son, Chad Hilton and wife, Ann of Omaha, NE; step-daughter, Amanda McGuire and husband, Ryan of Omaha, NE; two sisters, Mary Marks and Ron Long of Mancos, CO and Janet Gottsacker and husband, Greg of Manitowc, WI; seven grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service for John will be held at a later date.  Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
