Joy Dean McCreary, Blue Eye, MO, son of Floyd and Macie (Jones) McCreary, was born June 26, 1935, in Blue Eye, MO, and departed this life on July 25, 2022, at the age of 87.

Even though Joy was born in the area he had lived in Kansas City, MO for some time and then moved back to Blue Eye living here for forty years.  He worked as a foreman for the Stone County Road and Bridge Department and was active with the Table Rock Sportsman Association.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, fish fry's and spending time with family and friends.

Joy was preceded in death by his parents; son, Matt McCreary; daughter, Joy Donene McCreary; brother, Finis McCreary; sister, Betty Chaney and granddaughter, Shara Butler.

Survivors include: his wife, Goldie McCreary of Blue Eye, MO; two daughters,  Judy McCreary of Fort Wayne, IN and Carrie Butler and husband, R.D. of Blue Eye, MO; two brothers, Leroy McCreary of Blue Eye, MO and Larry McCreary and wife, Cuba of Hot Springs, AR; three sisters, Brenda Webb and husband, Jerry of Farmington, AR, Jewell Lloyd of Owasso, OK and Pauline Metz of Calico Rock, AR; five grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation for Joy will be held Friday, July 29, 2022, 11:00-12:00 at Stumpff Funeral Chapel Kimberling City, MO.  Service will follow at 12:00 noon with Larry McCreary officiating.  Burial will be in the Blue Eye Cemetery Blue Eye, MO.  Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
