In Loving Memory of Karter Kate Sowell

Karter Kate Sowell was born on July 29, 2026, and went home to be with Jesus on August 26, 2026.

Though her time here on earth was far too short, Karter Kate touched the lives of so many. Her precious life brought love, hope, and a beautiful reminder of God’s goodness to everyone blessed to know her. She will forever be cherished and never forgotten.

Karter Kate is survived by her loving Mommy and Daddy, Jake and Kinsey Sowell; her grandmothers, Terrie Sowell and Kristi Stephens; and her grandfather, Shannon Stephens.

She was deeply loved by her awesome aunties and uncles: Sam and Annie Sowell, Wyatt and Jordan Stephens, Sean and Emily Crawford, Chris and Lauren Tucker, and Joe and Morgan Tuilovoni.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins, Ari, Quin, Asher, and Viola Tucker; Sutton and George Sowell; Sailas and Lomani Tuilovoni; and Everly and Parker Stephens, who will one day get to run, laugh, and play with her in Heaven.

Karter Kate was also dearly loved by her church family at Faith Chapel, who stood faithfully beside her and her family here on earth. Their love, prayers, and support have meant more than words can express.

Her life may have been short, but her impact was not. Karter Kate left fingerprints on countless hearts, and the love she gave and inspired will remain forever. While our hearts ache because we cannot hold her here with us, we find comfort in knowing that she is now safe in the arms of Jesus.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

— Psalm 116:15

Karter Kate will be laid to rest at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Mars Hill Cemetery, beside her Pa.

A private, intimate service will be held for immediate family. A luncheon will follow, hosted by Faith Chapel, where family will gather.

In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly welcomes donations to Faith Chapel to help build a new playground in Karter Kate’s memory. Your kindness and generosity would be a sweet way to honor her precious life and create a place where children can play, laugh, and make joyful memories in her name.

Until we meet again, sweet Karter Kate.

You were loved beyond measure, and you will never be forgotten.

Service is under the care of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri.
