Lawrence Samuel Mohnen, Galena, MO, son of William and Alice (Kramer) Mohnen, was born August 15, 1925, at Kewanee, IL, and departed this life on June 30, 2023, at the age of 97.

Lawrence served in the United States Navy during World War II and was Honorably Discharged in March of 1946.

Lawrence was united in marriage to Vera Mae George on October 2, 1945.  Together they moved to the area from Jacksonville, IL. 48 years ago.

Membership was held in the James River Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Mohnen, wife, Vera Mae Mohnen, brother, Bill Mohnen, and sister, Ann Mohnen.

Lawrence is survived by three daughters; Karen Clausen and her husband, Chris of Ozark, MO, Lexie Caraway of Galena, MO, and Cindy Tharp and her husband, Don of Branson, MO, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
