Leon Meeks, Galena, MO, son of Lum Jefferson and Jewel Marie (Bedsaul) Meeks, was born February 28, 1935, at Galena, MO, and departed this life on June 23, 2025, at the age of 90.

Leon was a lifelong resident of the area.

On March 12, 1964, he was united in marriage to Norma Faye Tilden at Branson, MO.

Leon worked for Owens Corning for 31 years before his retirement.

Membership was held in the Cedar Ridge Baptist Church, Galena, MO.

Leon is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Meeks, parents, Lum and Jewel Meeks, several siblings and his granddaughter, Wilda Ellen Carver.

He is survived by his 3 children, Myron Meeks, Londa Meeks and Shari Dyche.  His brother, JD Meeks and sister, Audrey Hendrick.  His 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren, along with several other family members.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Yocum Pond Cemetery, Reeds Spring, MO, with Pastor Mike Keeter officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
