Leona (Lee)
Ann Madura
Nov 12, 1942 — Feb 11, 2024
Branson West
Leona (Lee) Ann Madura, of Branson West, MO, daughter of Damon and Leona Seelen, was born on November 12, 1942, in Kansas City, KS, and went on to be with our Lord on February 11, 2024, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family.
Lee was united in marriage to Kenneth J. Madura on September 18, 1965. Together, and with their children, they moved to Kimberling City, MO, 38 years ago from Valparaiso, IN.
Membership was formerly held at the First Christian Church, Kimberling City, MO, and more recently at the New Testament Christian Church, Reeds Spring, MO.
Lee is preceded in death by her daughters, Natalie Lynn Madura and Kimberly Jo (Madura) Ruch, her parents, Damon Seelen and Leona (Davis) (Seelen) Golembenski, her stepmother, Virginia Seelen, her sisters Linda (Wozniak) Andrews, Shirley (Golembenski) Wartsbaugh, and Sharon (Golembenski) Trinks.
Lee leaves behind her husband, Kenneth J. Madura, of Branson West, MO, and her sons Kenny (and Molly) Madura, of Branson, MO; Matt (and Brianne) Madura, of Nixa, MO; and son-in-law Jeff Ruch, of Indianapolis, IN. Brothers David (and Carolyn) Seelen, of Oklahoma City, OK; Mike (and Virginia) Seelen, of Nixa, MO; Doug (and Barbara) Seelen, of Oklahoma City, OK. Grandchildren Jennifer Ruch, Jessica (Ruch) (and Jessee) Mitchell, Madison Madura, Keegan Madura, Chloe Calvert, Emma Calvert, and great-grandchildren Paisley & Ellie Mitchell. Lee also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Lee was a Christian and faithfully served the Lord through her last moments with no doubt or fear. She left this world leaving an extraordinary legacy behind. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing, loving mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, a trusting friend, and confidant to so many. Lee possessed amazing virtues, and one that shines out most brightly is Lee always found a way to serve others above herself, whether at her home, in the halls of her church, in the workplace, or in everyday life. Lee commanded those of us she left behind not to be sad but to be happy and rejoice that she has entered her eternal home with her heavenly father and is whole again.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, March 23, 2024, at New Testament Christian Church, 21016 Main St., Reeds Spring, MO 65737.
