Louis Edward Young, age 89, of Crane, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026.

Louis was born on January 27, 1937, in Neponset, Illinois.  He was a graduate of Ozark High School and lived the last several years of his life in Crane.

Louis proudly served as a United States Marine, and enjoyed quail hunting, bass fishing and camping in his spare time.

For many years, Louis worked as a skilled sewing machine mechanic. He dedicated much of his career to his work at GB's Manufacturing in Crane and Hagale's Industries in Ozark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lavina Young; his beloved wife, Janice Young; his son, Gary Young, and daughter's-in-law, Deborah Young and Lisa Young.

Louis is survived by his sons, Keith Young and his wife Balinda of Hurley, and Russell Young of Aurora; and his daughter, Linda Lebow, and her husband Rick of Galena, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Selmore Cemetery, Selmore, MO. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
