Obituary

Marcia Regan died peacefully on January 25, 2024. She had been a resident of Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab Center in Hollister, Missouri for about four years. Her soul winged its way to heaven where she met Jesus face to face, dancing with joy, singing His praises, and free from the pains of earthly life. She was the daughter of Clint and Helen Wynn and is survived by her sister, Sharon (Parker) Davis. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Robert Regan, her son, Darrin Manning, and brothers Bobby and Gary Wynn.

Marcia was a long-time member of Central Church in Plano, Texas. Her faith gave her an internal confidence that allowed her to quietly minister to people wherever she went. Her spiritual journey began at a young age and carried her through both challenges and victories. Small in stature, but big in heart, she lived life on her terms and seemed to never meet a stranger. One of her life-long passions was for her dogs; always Pomeranians.

Her husband Bob passed away in 2004 due to a lengthy and hard-fought battle with ALS. Six years later, following the death of her son Darrin in 2010, she moved to Kimberling City, Missouri to live with her sister, Sharon.

Marcia wanted her independence and later moved into her own apartment. In 2019 Marcia began to exhibit signs of Dementia, to the point that she was not able to care for herself.  Doctors evaluated her health and determined to admit her to a nursing and rehab center in Hollister, Missouri, where she could receive the best possible health care.

On Wednesday February 21, 2024, Pastor Dan Rigdon (who was her long-time pastor) will preside over the      grave-side service where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Restland Cemetery located at 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas (469-480-3396). The service will begin at 1 pm in Wildwood Garden beneath large trees next to the beautiful vintage stone chapel. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful areas in Restland.  Messages of her journey to heaven are being sent to former friends and church members.
