Mark Gertiser

Mark Gertiser, of Verona, Missouri, son of Paul and Patti (Dodson) Gertiser, was born on January 4, 1969, in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on July 9, 2026, at the age of 57.

Mark had lived in the area since 1996, having moved from Arkansas. He worked as a computer analyst for credit unions throughout his career. He attended Hill City Church in Springfield, Missouri, and was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Corvette Club.

Above all, Mark loved the Lord and was deeply devoted to his family. He shared that the name Mark is associated with the meaning "warrior," and he believed that when his earthly race was finished, he would stand in the presence of the Lord as a faithful warrior in God's army.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Patti Gertiser.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Gertiser of Verona, Missouri; son, Grant Gertiser and his wife, Ashlyn, of Clever, Missouri; daughter, Bella Jung and her husband, Bob, of Springfield, Missouri; father, Paul Gertiser and his wife, Cindy, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sister, Angel Shoemaker and her husband, Ryan, of Bald Knob, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Gray, Tate, and Lydia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Yocum Pond Cemetery. All who were touched by Mark's life are warmly invited to attend. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri.
