Maureen Lee
Ullrich
Nov 8, 1941 — Oct 11, 2023
Reeds Spring
Daughter, Sister, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Confidant and Friend
November 8, 1941 – October 11, 2023
Maureen Lee Ullrich, of Reeds Spring, MO, daughter of Gilbert Ellis and Alvina Mosblech (Ellis), passed from this life at the golden age of 81. Those waiting to receive Maureen into their loving arms will be her parents, Gilbert and Alvina Ellis, her sister, Patricia Diaz and her husband, Dale Ullrich.
Maureen was born in St. Louis, MO and grew up in Pinckneyville, IL. Maureen married the love of her life, Dale, on February 11, 1961, and started a family that grew larger than she could have ever imagined.
Maureen is survived by quite the legacy of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Not to mention the ones that she accumulated along the way. The Children: Linda Langhorst, Kimberly Hoover and husband Phil, Jacqulyn Stege, Cynthia Noel, Dale Ullrich Jr. and wife Shelly, and Denise Yurkovich. The Grand Children: Robert Frawley and wife Kaycee, Ryan Frawley and wife Melaine, Shaun Singler and wife Trisha, Amber Sease, John-Brett Stege and wife Jamie, Blake Stege, Jake Ullrich and wife Meghan, Jessica Coleman, Michael Ullrich, Weston Ullrich and wife Rawaa, Hunter Ullrich, Michael Ruch and wife Liz, and Derek Ruch and wife Jayce. The Great Grand Children: Silas Frawley, Sailor Frawley, Scarlett Frawley, Declan Frawley, Nolan Singler, Berkley Singler, Madison Sease, Mackenzie Sease, Stella Stege, Piper Stege, Cash Stege, Cruz Stege, Jada Ullrich, Mia Ullrich, Gianna Ullrich, Sammantha Wynne, Tristan Wynne, Raylan Thorpe, Seth Ruch, Simon Ruch, Blake Ruch and Corbin Ruch.
Maureen worked in a secretarial capacity throughout her life. She retired from the State of Missouri at Bellefontaine Habilitation Center, where she acquired several more "children and grandchildren". Her "children" came in all ages and colors. That was one thing about Maureen, she never saw "color" when she made friends or family. She looked for what was in your heart because she always knew the outside could change at any time.
Maureen spent her golden years with what she treasured the most, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would "light up" every time she knew they were coming for a visit and always wanted to make sure we had plenty of food for the festivities. She was a friend and a confidant that would always be there if you needed someone to chat with or just someone to listen without judgement. Maureen's presence will be truly missed, and the time her family spent with her will be treasured memories for years to come.
Maureen's Life Celebration will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023. The family will receive friends and family for visitation from 11a – 12p at Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, MO. The Life Celebration Service will be held following the visitation at 12p. Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home. In lieu of plants and flowers, the family requests donations be made in Maureen's name to St. Jude or the American Cancer Society.
Additional visiting along with food and beverages will be available at Cynthia's house immediately following the chapel service.
