Max LeRoy Hanson, Kimberling City, MO, son of Wayne LeRoy and Nancy Anne (Simonson) Hanson, was born July 19, 1961, at Glidden, IA, and departed this life on March 26, 2025, at the age of 63.

Max was united in marriage to Leslie Watson.  Together they moved to the area four years ago from Volo, IL.

Membership was held in the Peace Lutheran Church, Glidden, MO, First Baptist Church and First Christian Church both of Kimberling City, MO. Max also loved to golf.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Nancy Hanson, sister, Debra Hanson, uncle, Dale Hanson, and aunt, Barbara Kennedy and her husband, Bill.

Max is survived by his wife, Leslie Hanson, children, Bille Lovelace and husband, Wes, Sam Fleming, Shawn Hanson and Racheal Hanson, brother, Steven Hanson (Brenda), sisters, Susan Hanson (Butch Culp), Marilyn Mueggenberg (Richard), Marcia Jensen (Ken), Barbara Hanson (special friend-Scott Rosener), and grandchildren, Arica Lovelace, Alicia Lovelace, Jocelynn Lovelace, Wesley Lovelace, William Lovelace Jr., Jazmyne Lovelace, Prince Lovelace, Pierre Lovelace, Christopher Hanson-Schmidt, Jaxx LeRoy Hanson, Domonic Reign Hanson, Wynter Stormy Skys Hanson, Major James Chamberlyn and Kimbyr Leigh Chamberlyn and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, MO.  The service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Stumpff Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Philibert Cemetery, Kimberling City, MO.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.

Family has requested live plants for a memorial garden to be planted in memory of Max.
