Maxine (Smythe) Johnson, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, at the age of 95.

She was born on June 29, 1929, at Reeds Spring, MO, to Clayton and Concordia (Babe) Smythe.

Maxine was a lifelong resident of Stone County and Webster County.  She worked alongside her husband on the farm for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, by her brothers and sisters, and husband, Irving "Fate" Johnson.

Maxine is survived by her son, Lynn Johnson and daughter, Nancy Cloud and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed and loved by many.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Keystone Baptist Church, Reeds Spring, MO.  The service will be held following the visitation at 11:00 a.m., at the Church.  Burial will follow in the Yocum Pond Cemetery, Reeds Spring, MO.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
