Melissa Dawn Young, Marshfield, MO, daughter of Bobby Lynn and Carolyn Sue (Long)m Hufft, was born on September 27, 1969, in Springfield, MO, and departed this life on January 17, 2024, at the age of 54.

Melissa was a lifelong resident of the area and worked as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital.

Melissa is survived by, her husband, Danny Young of Marshfield, MO; three sons, Anthony Sims of Marshfield, MO, Dereon Young of Virginia and Brayden Young of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Megan Sims of Elkhart, IN; two grandchildren, Juliet Roy and George Roy VI; parents, Bobby and Carolyn Hufft of Billings, MO; brother, Steve Hufft of Independence, MO; niece, Brooklynn Hufft; nephew, Peyton Hufft and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024, in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Crane Community Cemetery, Crane, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
