Monica Grohmann Shirley of Kimberling City, MO, age 56, passed away peacefully in her home on December 19th 2024, after a short fight with cancer. Monica was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and moved to the Kimberling City area from Myrtle Beach, SC in 1998. She worked in the Branson timeshare industry as an administrative specialist. If you were fortunate to know her then you will always remember her smile, her laugh, and willingness to share a kind word. Monica was a "Dog Mom" through and through. She not only spoiled her own dogs but also had a big heart for any dog in need. One of Monica's great joys in life was vacationing with her husband and granddaughters at the beach in Florida. Monica's life was cut short way too early, but memories of her will be in our hearts forever.

Monica was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Hutchinson and her brother Michael Grohmann. She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Shirley of Kimberling City, MO, daughter Cristy Reynolds, granddaughters Skyla Tranchita and Beca Tranchita, stepson Andrew Shirley, and father and stepmother Hank and Dee Grohmann.

Monica wanted to share with everyone these parting words:

"If you remember anything about me after I leave this world, remember that I loved even when it was foolish. That I cared even when it was unwanted. When my body is gone remember my heart."

Monica's remains will be laid to rest in the Hancock Family Cemetery in Fort Meade, Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
