Obituary

Paul Edward Todd, Sr., 85, of Branson West, Missouri, passed suddenly from this world on Saturday, November 28, 2020.

Born on November 12, 1935, to Laura (née Glass) and Richard Todd, Paul was the youngest of three children. Following his mother's disability when he was 3 years old, the children were raised at Angel Guardian Orphanage in Chicago. His sister Regina Denton and brother Richard Todd preceded him in death.

Upon graduating from high school, Paul enlisted and served our country as a United States Marine (1954-1957). He was deployed to Japan after the Korean Conflict and he was honorably discharged, having reached the rank of Corporal. He received the Good Conduct Medal for his service.

He attended Loyola University. Paul became a Master Journeyman electrician for IBEW Local 134 in Chicago, retiring from the construction trade after over 40 years of hard work.

In 1962, he married Valerie Seff. They spent almost 35 years together, until her death in 1997. In 2001, he wed Bonnie Ivey. Bonnie and Paul were married for 19 years, separated only by his passing.

Paul was a loving father to his four children with Valerie: Susan Wuesthoff, Sandra Todd Webster (Todd), Paul E. Todd, Jr. (Tina), and Michael D. Todd (Jane). He later became step-father to Tim Ivey (Veronica), Ken Ivey (Sally), Mary Ivey-Canez, and Matthew Ivey.

He was gifted with 5 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and 1 (step) great-grandchild.

A devout Christian, he attended James River Church. God, family and country were most important to him. He was a teacher, a scholar and humble servant of others.

Paul will be interred at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Springfield with full military honors, in a private ceremony with immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in Paul's name to Options Pregnancy, 192 Expressway Lane, Suite 100, Branson, MO, 65616 info@optionspregnancyclinic.com
