Obituary

Phyllis Lafon Blair, age 87 was born on April 16, 1937. She received her eternal reward on May 11, 2024. Phyllis was born to Mary Grace (Keithley) Henderson and Charley Lee Henderson at Reeds Spring Jct.

Phyllis married Walter (Shorty) Boone Blair on August 31, 1956. Phyllis and Shorty were volunteer ambulance drivers and attendants. At about that time she also was color guard for the Reeds Spring Ladies Axillary, VFW Post 3867.

In her twenty's she worked as a waitress at Reeds Spring Café. Later a florist at the Happy Hills Flower Shop for Joe and Cathy Wolven, and later on at The Branson Florist.

When Ronnie, Judy and Mary were kids she worked at George and Nola Scobee's skating rink at the Reeds Spring Jct.

She worked many years at the Shepherd of the Hills, where she drove a tram and worked the parking lot. Phyllis also worked at the Branson Skating Rink as a security guard.

She was a well-rounded person. She also drove a school bus for the Reeds Spring School District and considered all the kids, as hers.

Phyllis was a faithful member of Faith Fellowship Pentecostal Church.

Phyllis didn't know a stranger. She was loved by all that knew her and had a full and eventful life. She gave her heart to Jesus over thirty years ago and never looked back. She loved to pray for people. Her greatest desire on this earth was that her family circle not be broken.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Shorty; one daughter, Judy Kay Robbins; one grandson, Jon Blair; daughter in law, Tammy Blair; six brothers, Milford, Glen, Floyd, Lester, and Don; an infant twin brother, we all call Little Ed and one sister, Flossie Hill.

Phyllis left a good name.
