Obituary

Randolph Allen Yocum was born on September 12th, 1948 at the family home in Parma, Missouri to James Warren Yocum and Ruby Hardcastle. He passed away on August 31st, 2022 at the age of 73.

Randy attended K12 across southern Missouri where he eventually graduated from high school at Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri. He then proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Hornet Carrier. After serving in the military, he then attended Southeast Missouri State University where he received an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Counseling. He was a licensed professional counselor who loved working and helping people from various backgrounds. Eventually he served as a supervisor at Pathways Behavioral Health Care where he retired in 2008

On December 22nd, 1973 he married the love of his life, Patty Yocum whom he was married to for 48 years. The two had two sons together, Gabe and Andrew Yocum. Randy was a loving and supportive father and grandfather who especially loved to joke and tease with his kids.

Randy loved to work out and be physically active. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and especially liked exploring the mountains. He was often singing some sort of tune to himself while he went about the day's business. And when he was relaxing, you would often find him with a nice, cool glass of Diet Coke.

When Randy was in college, he decided to trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized during that time. He was a man of quiet faith who was always willing to help others and singing to himself the hymns of the Church

Randy is survived in death by his loving wife, Patty (Parrack) Yocum along with his son Gabriel Yocum and wife Becky (Gehringer) Yocum and son Andrew Yocum and wife Amy (Brown) Yocum. In addition to this he leaves behind three beautiful grandchildren Katie, Rachel, and Daniel Yocum

Randy was preceded in death by his father James Warren Yocum and his mother Ruby Hardcastle; and his brother Michael Yocum.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all donations would be made out to CRU formerly know as the Campus Crusade for Christ
