Rita Anne Johnson Schwyhart Meyer, 87, passed away April 15, 2026 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, AR.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Dean Schwyhart and Robert Meyer.

Rita is survived by her children, Geary (Renee) Schwyhart of St. Louis, MO and Lisa (Chad) Fancher of Bella Vista, AR; stepchildren Robert Jr. (Sue) Meyer of Russellville, MO, Christine (John) Ott of Hayesville, NC and Jeff Meyer of Pevely, MO;  grandchildren Jennifer Vorachack, Cortney (Kim) Reed, Mitchell (Brittany) Reed, Jacob (Sarah) Schwyhart, Paige Reed; step grandchildren Tim (Rachel) Polys, Rachel (Tyler) Bolick, Aaron (Meghan) Meyer, Jessica Meyer, Gunner Fancher and Colt Fancher;  15 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Larry Johnson, Norma Stackpole, Dorothy Kiesling, Kathy (Ed) LaMotte and Vicki Stedman; and several loving nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her devotion to family and her compassionate spirit.

A celebration of Rita's life will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 3 Northwoods Dr., Kimberling City, Missouri 65686, on April 25, 2026 at 10:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church ( stmarkkimberling.diowestmo.org ), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( stjude.org ) or Circle of Life Hospice ( circleoflifecare.org ).

Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
