Robert Ray Bilderback, SR. of Kimberling City, MO, was called home on July 18th, 2019 at the age of 83.

He was born May 21, 1936 in Los Angeles CA. The son of John Elisha and Mercy Emma (Spears) Bilderback. Growing up the 2nd eldest of 8 children, Robert enjoyed sports, fishing, hunting, camping and most of all rebuilding and racing cars.

During High School, Robert joined the ROTC and after graduation he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, serving eight years as a corporal.

Robert was a jack-of-all-trades. There wasn't anything he couldn't do or wouldn't try. He was the founder and president of The Elders car club, owner of a Phillips 66 gas station, drove an 18-wheeler across country, started his own construction company, was one of the founders of the Poway Valley Riders Association, and owned Lone Dera horse ranch. He was great at everything, but he was at his best when he was being a friend, brother, husband, father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; James and Frank Bilderback, and 1 son; Edward Neal.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Bonnie (Nelson) Bilderback; son, Robert Bilderback Jr. of Kimberling City; daughter, Lenyne Stinnett and husband, Mark, of Cape Fair; and daughter, Kathleen Bilderback of Kimberling City, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His fun-loving personality, giving heart and sideways smirk will be missed by many!

A Celebration of Life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church of Hollister, on October 19th at 1:30 PM. Pastor Wendell Crosswhite will officiate.

Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
