Robert L. Loewe, Galena, MO, son of Edwin and Edna Loewe, was born March 8, 1944, in Wisner, NE, and went home to be with his wife on October 28, 2023, at the age of 79.

Robert married Brenda, J. McCannon on January 21, 1967, at the Lutheran Church in Blair, NE. On December 4th, 1970, Jon was born. The family welcomed Nicki in 1977. Bob, as his friends called him, loved to tinker. In Nebraska, he spent many weekends at the local lumberyard building furniture and renovating their home. From Nebraska they moved to St. Peters, MO and then to Denver. In Denver, Bob learned how to ski and provided his son and daughter with numerous stories about hiking out of trees with his skis over his shoulder. Stories that his kids still love to tell. After a quick stint in Dallas, Bob and Brenda settled in Galena, MO.

Bob was a member at Faith Lutheran Church, Branson, MO. He and Brenda attended the Saturday evening service with friends. Bob spent much of his time outside. He loved to fish, garden, and sit on the dock with friends. He also enjoyed carving and made his grandchildren Christmas ornaments each year.

Bob will be remembered for his kindness. He never met a stranger, loved helping others and was always good for a hug.

Just like his wife, Bob loved his grandchildren BIG. He rarely missed a game or activity and was Jonah, Joshua, Jake and Lainey's biggest fan. Throughout his life, Grandpa modeled a man of integrity and love.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Edna Loewe and Walter and Margie McCannon, his sister Alberta and his brother Virgil and wife, Lila Mae, and brother in laws Duane Johnson and Ted Huettmann. As well as his sister in law and brother in law, Mary and Willie Carlson.

Bob is survived by his sisters Gladys Huettmann of Wisner, NE and Marjorie Johnson of Grand Island, NE. His son, Jon and his wife, Meredith. Their children Jonah and his wife Eryn and Joshua. Their daughter Nicki and her husband Mark, along with their two children Jake and Laine Garner.

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9th, 2023, at the Faith Lutheran Church, Branson, MO. Cremation is under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
