Obituary

Roberta M Davis

September 26, 1941 to July 27,2026

Roberta M Davis, a beloved aunt, sister, teacher and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2026 at the age of 84.

Roberta was born on September 26, 1941 in Covington, Kentucky. She lived the majority of her life in Augusta, Georgia, where she devoted her life to her faith, family and the children she so dearly loved to teach.

Roberta was a graduate of Tennessee Temple University and dedicated more than 40 years of her life to teaching elementary school. For more than four decades, she had the privilege of encouraging, teaching and influencing generations of children. To her, teaching was much more than a career – it was a calling. The lives she touched in her classroom are a lasting part of the legacy she leaves behind.

Above all else, Roberta loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life and was evident in the way she loved and cared for others. She was a faithful member of Talking Rock Road Baptist Church and treasured her church family. Her greatest desire was to honor the Lord with her life.

Roberta was proceeded in death by her parents and four siblings, Thomas Davis, Sr., Georgetta Davis, Mary Lou Davis and Edward Davis.

She is survived by siblings, Neel and Pat Davis and Delbert and Judy Davis, and her beloved nieces and nephews: Tommy Davis, Jr, Jennifer Ellingsworth, April Miller, Tiffany Clegg, Christine Davis, Joanna Wallis, Daniel Davis, Edward Davis II and a whole host of great nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Roberta will be remembered for her smile, gentle spirit, kind heart, love for others, dedication to her students, and unwavering faith. She gave so much of herself to the children she taught and the family and friends she loved. Her influence reached far beyond the classroom and the lessons she taught through both her work and her life. Though she will be deeply missed, her family and loved ones can find comfort in knowing that Roberta has finished her earthly journey and is now in the presence of the Lord she loved and faithfully served.

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant”
